Delirium

I recently finished the novel Delirium by Lauren Oliver.  The story is about a dystopian society where love is considered a disease, they call it deliria.  Love was once considered a good thing until people realized that once it happens there is no escaping it.  They saw love as something that only caused hurt and pain in the end.  So scientists were able to come up a way to cure people of love and eradicate it from their society.  The government mandates all citizens to receive the cure upon turning eighteen.  The government then provided them with options of who they could married and determined what the would be doing with their lives.  The main character, Lena, had been looking forward to getting the cure her whole life.  That is, until the unthinkable happens, Lena falls in love.  Lena is faced with a major decision and learns that there is more to life than what she has always been taught.  If you enjoy reading dystopian books, pick up a copy of this one.
